Grand Magasin

At the beginning of October 2002, Grand Magasin was in Toulouse to extend the research to the neighbouring departments. A somewhat pleasant and amusing mediation on everything that happens outside the theatre during the performance. Questions such as:

     What is happening elsewhere as I speak?

     Does what's going on in the distance make any difference to what's going on here?

     What is so-and-so doing in the meantime? (Grand Magasin) 

As in Brussels and Lyon, Grand Magasin uses the city of Toulouse as the subject of this hilarious 'geographical' show, with the help of numerous local partners. Through predictions that come true in real time thanks to a skilfully oiled device, the slightest seemingly banal fact (the stopping of a suburban train, the turning of a traffic light to red or green) takes on the dimension of an event.
