Born in 1945
Since the early 1970s, the performer, musician, sculptor and video artist Charlemagne Palestine (born 1945) has been exploring the relations between sound, space, the instruments he plays and the response they draw from the public, conveying through his performances the intensity of his emotional states.
Invited by Leïla Cheblal for the association EDV, Charlemagne Palestine will produce a performance in public space in Toulouse in early September. The video capturing this event will then be on show at the Bellegarde cultural centre for the duration of the festival.
