Vincent Meessen is one of those Western artists who decentres the “Eurocentric” viewpoint and overturns the linearity of historiographic narratives. His film and music installation One.Two.Three reveals an unexpected Congolese branch of the Situationist International. Vincent Meessen represented Belgium at the last Venice Biennale, where he organised a group show, Personne et les autres, which mutualised his country's pavillon. The invitation made to the artist this year is the starting point for a future production which will be presented at the Printemps de septembre in 2018.
